Ezekiel Nathaniel of Nigeria has won his first-ever Diamond League event.
This comes after he coasted to victory in the men’s 400m hurdles at the Lausanne meet yesterday.
Nathaniel clocked 48.08 seconds after powering through the final hurdle to secure the win.
American athlete Trevor Bassitt finished second in 48.14 seconds, while Slovenia’s Ian Matic Gucek placed third with 49.23 seconds.
The triumph marks a breakthrough moment for Nathaniel, who is fast emerging as one of the brightest names in world athletics.
